I think "classic" is in the mind of the beholder.

I guess I was doing a bit of wishful thinking, thinking that the 70s would be okay here... the 70s are classic to me because of all the great childhood memories I have.

"Classic" probably depends most on when you were born, and what movies/shows/music you were exposed to and enjoyed as a kid. Some of my fondest memories are seeing cheap sci-fi movies at the drive-in and on late-night TV in the '60s.

70's TV is ok, but there's not as many sitcoms as there were in the 50's and 60's (at least not here) and most of the stuff is still copyrighted. I wasn't alive in the 70's (or 80's of the first half of the 90's) so if it's not here I probaly don't know of it (way should I buy DVD's when I can watch all this for free?)
